The Origin
In 2025, I started messing around with AI music just to see if it could actually make anything good. I made some meme tracks for video games and shared them with a small group of close friends. Pretty quickly they were all asking how I did it and whether I could make songs for them too. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I figured if people were actually enjoying what I was putting out, I might as well upload it to streaming platforms and see what happened. One thing led to another, and Pangu Productions went from a fun little side project to something that actually offered a service I didn't even realize people wanted.
As technology keeps moving forward, there will always be people who resist it—no matter how good it gets. Most folks just don't like change. But the tools we have access to are only going to keep getting better. Right now there's an endless amount of AI music flooding the internet, yet a lot of it feels like it's missing that careful human touch. People are just mashing buttons, hitting generate, or letting AI bots write the whole thing for them. Even with these powerful tools, without real patience and curation, it's hard to make something actually worth listening to.
